I liked the simple machines best because the levers taught me to do work easier.
My favorite thing in the seven week program of the Discovery Center was simple machines because I learned more things about them. I didn't know about the three different kinds of levers.
My favorite thing was learning about the simple machines because I learned that an inclined plane helps you lift something really big.
My favorite activity was making a roller coaster because we learned that if you make a small hill before the big hill then you won't get up the bigger hill.
I liked doing zoology. We learned how scientists sort animals into groups. We also used candy and a dichotomous key to learn how to use one.
Dichotomous keys are fun. I also liked that.
When we chewed the gum and seen how much sugar was gone. I learned how to work with decimals
My favorite part of the seven week program was that we when we made a pocket solar system.
Did you remember the order of them and which was closest to the sun?
Can you remember the planet farthest away from the sun?
My favorite was zoology. When we did the candy key. I learned to simplify animals by their adaptations.
I really liked the electricity experiment.
I liked simple machines when we took the car and we put the penny's in the cup and I learned that a inclined plane helps you move stuff.
My favorite thing was when we all got in a circle and two people in the middle each touched a piece on metal connected to a ball and the rest of us held hands and the energy went though us to the other side of the ball and made a light light up.
When we did our own roller coaster. That if the first circle is small it won't go through the next bigger circle.
My favorite thing about the seven week program on week two was my favorite because we weighed gum when the sugar in there and when it was chewed and looked at the difference with sugar and without sugar.
Week 4 was my favorite because I got to learn a lot about the solar system which was really interesting. Plus, we got to make a pocket model of the solar system which is a really good reference guide.
Can you remember the order they go in?
I like week 6 the best because I know more about electricity now. I also liked to learn about atoms the proton neutron and electrons. How the electrons moved through the atoms really fast and then that's what sent the power.
I like the weather week because we got to dump water in to other people's cups.
My favorite thing about the Discovery Center seven week program was the week we measured the gum. If you chew gum and take it out of your mouth it will weigh less than before you stuck it in your mouth.
My favorite week was week one because we got to sort things into groups. We sorted plastic animals and candy. I learned that sorting things can make it easier to describe things.
I really liked zoology because it was fun to organizing the animals and learning about them.
The thing that I liked most was the simple machines lesson used the ramp and making the cars going off the ramps by putting pennies in the cups one by one.I think working with machines is the best.
My favorite week was week 7. That week we learned about simple machines. I learned that simple machines decrease the amount of force you have to put into your work.
My favorite part was when we got some gum and we weighed it to see how much sugar was in it.
My favorite week was week 7.I liked using the cars and Lego gears, and also because that was the only one I saw.
I liked when we put pennies in a cup to make the car go up the ramp it took more for the short ramp.
I can't decide between two. My two favorites were the weather and the gum chewing. The reason I liked the the chewing gum activity was because it was fun and it taught me how to add and subtract decimals. The reason I liked weather was because it taught us how water gets polluted. I also liked the thing when we all had to hold hands (or wrists) and LeAnn and Madix had to touch the ball to make it light up and if we let go the light would shut off. That's what I liked the most. Well I actually liked it all.
I really liked weather because it taught me about weather instruments. It was fun! For example, an anemometer measures how fast the wind is going.
The lesson on Simple Machines because we got to put a penny in a cup that was tied to a car and the car was on a inclined plane. it took more than 5 pennies to move the car to the top of the steep ramp
